Requirements
Before you start the installation process, please make sure that you have at least Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 installed. You can download it here.
Also, have an automated clock sync tool installed on our computer. We recommend NetTime. You can download it here.
Installation
Please launch the installation.exe and follow the instructions on the screen. After successfully completing the installation, MacroTrader’s login screen should start automatically.

Please enter the email you used for registering with www.macrospike.com and the license key you were provided in the “Welcome e-mail for the MacroTrader”. If you don’t remember your license key, you may find it here: https://macrospike.com/purchase-history
Preparing your MetaTrader4/5 for the MacroTrader
MacroTrader communicates with your MetaTrader terminals. It does so via our custom Expert Advisors. In order to make this work flawlessly, it is important to enable the ability for Expert Advisors to interact with your platform. In order to do so, please follow the steps (you will have to repeat them for every terminal you plan to use with MacroTrader):
- Open your MetaTrader terminal and log in to your account
- Right-click on the Market Watch window and select ‘Show All’
- Open the Options window by clicking Tools -> Options or by pressing Ctrl + o.
- Select the Expert Advisor Menu and check ‘Allow automated trading’ and ‘Allow DLL imports’
- Close the terminal
Note that for every account we only recommend you to use your broker’s default MetaTrader. Although it is technically possible to use any other terminal, this might cause compatibility issues with the MacroTrader. Also, we recommend only using one account per terminal.
